Well, it took me much longer to actually get my materials ready and to find time to write this post. As I alluded to a month ago, I will be focusing on the most recent Detective Conan set of the Furuta choco eggs.
These are pictures of the box. It shows all the figures from the set.
The actual chocolate egg comes in a green wrapper with yellow, red, white, and green eggs scattered. Here's the chocolate egg unwrapped.

The chocolate is similar to Kinder eggs. The chocolate tastes less milky compared to Kinder eggs. One thing I commonly encounter with Furuta choco eggs I buy at local Asian stores is chocolate bloom. Luckily this egg tastes fine.
The choco eggs have a similarly sized toy capsule with Kinder eggs. They do not have a hinge, similar to older style Kinder egg toy capsules. Furuta choco eggs also appear to have different colors depending on the toy set. The Detective Conan series 3 capsules are bright pink.
There are 3 types of toys. 1-5 are full body figures of the Detective Boys. 6-15 are busts of various characters. 16 is a full body figure of 犯人 (Suspect). Unfortunately, I did not find the secret figure during my quest of eating Detective Conan choco eggs.
